(ECNS) - The headquarters of NetDragon Websoft, a Chinese gaming and mobile Internet company, has become an online sensation due to resembling the famous Star Trek spaceship USS Enterprise.
The headquarters of NetDragon Websoft, a Chinese gaming and mobile Internet company, has become an online sensation for resembling the famous Star Trek spaceship USS Enterprise.
Pictures taken from Google Maps also show a football field, tennis courts, and a swimming pool beside the starship-like structure. The images went viral after being published via a number of websites.
The building is located near an airport in Leshan city, east China's Fujian province.
The company's chairman Liu DeJian, a big fan of Star Trek, obtained license rights from CBS to build the Enterprise replica.
Construction began in 2008 and was finished in 2014 at a total cost of $160 million.
The building is said to be the only officially licensed Star Trek construction on the planet.
Inside the building also includes a replica display of a T-Rex dinosaur discovered in South Dakota in 1987 as well as 30-foot metal slides linking the ground floor to the third.
