(ECNS) - A photographer who caused controversy by taking nude pictures inside Beijing's Forbidden City is in the spotlight again after shooting photos of naked girls on a bridge in southwest China.

The pictures were taken around Bailu Bridge in Liuzhou, a city in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. All three of the published photos, which were taken at night, depict naked girls in the foreground with steel factories in the background.

The photographer is called Wang Dong, also known as 'WANIMAL' online. An art school graduate, Wang has taken nude photos on streets in Hong Kong as well as at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.

Some believe that Wang is seeking attention by taking nude pictures, while others say his photos are artistic and tasteful.

Although taking nude pictures in public is taboo, law enforcement depends on the specifics of each case, according to a lawyer in Liuzhou. Unlike pictures shot in broad daylight, the photos taken at night did not disturb the local population, and therefore should not be illegal, the lawyer added.
