(ECNS) - Fury has erupted after a mother let her child defecate on the floor during a Shenzhen Airlines flight, the Modern Express reported on Monday.
The airline wrote about the incident on a blog, explaining that the chief steward approached the passenger but was initially ignored. The passenger eventually said that the bathroom was too small.
This was not the first time airline passengers have refused to make their children use toilets. One day earlier, a Chinese parent let their child defecate in the aisle of a Western Airlines plane, which also sparked public outrage.
Shenzhen Airlines staff made suggestions about how to prevent children from urinating or defecating on airplane seats. For example, parents could use plastic bags or alert an airline stewardess when their children need to urinate.
Some people have also suggested that parents should prepare better before traveling, by telling their children to go to the toilet before boarding planes or using diapers.
