(ECNS) -- The Information Office of the State Council held a press conference Friday afternoon, revealing details of China's military parade, which is scheduled on September 3, to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory against Japan and the world anti-Fascist war. [Special coverage]
The whole parade includes five parts, in which a military review and march-past would last about 70 minutes, according to Qu Rui, deputy director of the parade steering group office.
A total of 27 armament formations of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) will parade through the Tian'anmen Square, Qu said.
The veterans, who fought in the anti-Japanese war will be reviewed in two mounted formations. They are from both the anti-Japanese forces led by the Communist Party of China (CPC) and those by the Kuomintang (KMT) Party.
The main battle gear to be displayed at the ceremony are all homemade, with 84 percent making their debut, Qu added.
More than 10 foreign armies will join the event, according to Qu. But he did not provide a full list of the countries.
Chorus will sing old songs to commemorate the resistance against Japanese troops in the WWII.
