(ECNS) -- To San Francisco, erecting a memorial to comfort women isn't enough. The city has decided to include related history into a new textbook for middle and high schools as soon as next fall, according to Sing Tao Daily, a Mandarin newspaper headquartered in Hong Kong.
The San Francisco Board of Education passed a revision to its human trafficking law on October 13, which includes adding the history of 200,000 comfort women being raped by Japanese soldiers in World War II to the textbooks of schools.
History experts and the community will offer assistance and suggestions to the drafting of such books.
