(ECNS) -- A survey by a dating website has dipped into the mindset of singles in the country's top four metropoles ahead of national Singles' Day, the Guangzhou Daily reported.

As much as 95 percent of surveyed single women in Guangzhou, together with 85 percent of single men in Beijing, admitted to experiencing a marriage crisis.
However, single men in Guangzhou felt secure and content with the status quo, the same with single women in Shenzhen. About 41 percent of Guangzhou single men have had no blind date before.
Despite an eagerness to break out of being single, single women in Guangzhou stay inactive, as 24 percent never set themselves on blind dates.
In contrast, more than 75 percent of single women in Shanghai have gone on blind dates, 15 percent higher than singles nationwide.
Besides, 24.1 percent of Shanghai women have had more than 10 blind dates, while the figure is only four percent among Guangzhou women.
