(ECNS) -- Close to half of Chinese workers will see an average increase of 6 to 10 percent in their pay packets, according to Hays, a leading recruitment agency.
Hays's survey, which covers more than 3,000 companies across the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan, says the salary increase rate on the mainland will surpass other regions in Asia.
According to Hays's 2016 salary forecast, 44 percent of Chinese employers plan to boost worker pay by 6 to 10 percent, while 29 percent of employers intend to increase employee salaries by 3 to 6 percent.
In addition, about 16 percent of Chinese bosses are going to achieve a pay rise of at least 10 percent. In comparison, four percent of employers do not plan to raise staff salaries in the coming year.
