(ECNS) -- A video that has gone viral publicized medical goofs in the popular South Korea television drama Descendants of the Sun, Chinese web portal rednet.cn reported.

With witty remarks, the video points out mistakes in the TV drama such as incorrect use of electrodes and blood transfusion apparatus, and also the behavior of the M3 virus and immune system.

University students who run the public account Hunan Yiliao via the mobile messaging app WeChat produced the video in cooperation with experts at Hunan Province People's Hospital.

Counterparts at Central South University previously made an Internet name for themselves by representing the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus through cartoons.

Lin Yimin, who runs the Hunan Yiliao account, said his team was concerned about the incorrect medical information present in the TV drama.

He added that his team aims to take advantage of social media to promote medical science.

The video was viewed over 100,000 times on several platforms.
