(ECNS) -- U.S. billionaire investment guru Warren Buffett said he remains confident in China's economy as more than 3,000 Chinese investors flocked to Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholder meeting, China Business News (CBN) reports.
Held in Omaha's CenturyLink Center on April 30, the meeting was streamed live worldwide for the first time.
Buffett, the 85-year-old chairman of the company, told CBN during an interview he remains optimistic about the Chinese economy and believes it will not face too many problems.
At last year's meeting, Buffett also voiced his confidence in the Chinese economy. He even told the paper he thought China had found "a secret recipe for unleashing human potential" similar to what Americans did 200 years ago.
But China was not a topic this year. "The six-hour meeting was dedicated to taking questions from shareholders, but no investor raised any questions concerning China," Jian Jia, a Chinese investor, told CBN. "It might be due to China's lackluster stock market."
