(ECNS) -- One of Apple's international companies has been fined 50,000 yuan ($7,590) for errors in its financial and sales reports in Beijing, a local newspaper reported.
Apple Electronic Products Trade, a subsidiary of its operation based in Ireland, was listed by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics as one of the most dishonest companies of 2014 due to mistakes in its financial statement and figures on product purchases, sales and inventory.
Major errors were found in items covering value added tax due, employee wages and sales volumes reported by the subsidiary, which was founded in 2007 in Beijing with registered capital of $45 million.
The bureau accused the Apple subsidiary of violating the 7th article of China's statistics law.
It said the company has paid the fine in full.
