(ECNS) -- China's national team to the Rio Olympics has hired two local chefs to cook delicious Chinese cuisine, Beijing News reported.
Many Chinese athletes are staying at the pre-games center of the Chinese Olympic delegation in Sao Paulo, where they are recovering from jet lag and beginning to train.
Without bringing cooks from China this time, the delegation hired two local Chinese chefs to make 10 cold and hot dishes for every meal, with stewed chicken leg and red-braised pork the most popular among athletes.
The center also provides athletes with rice, steamed bread and spring rolls, all popular foods in Chinese cuisine.
Athletes can have strictly chosen food 24 hours a day. At its peak, the village kitchen will prepare 60,000 meals daily produced from 210,000 kilograms of raw ingredients.
Diners can choose from five different buffets — Brazilian, Asian, international, pasta and pizza, Halal and Kosher.
