(ECNS) -- More than 20,000 articles are offered for sale on the official 2016 Rio Summer Olympics site rio2016.com, following the end of the world's largest sports event.
Three categories include sporting goods used in competitions, Olympic torches and souvenirs. The bidding period for a single item is normally five days.
One of the hottest items is the torch used by Vanderlei de Lima to light the Olympic flame at the opening ceremony, with the price exceeding 20,550 real ($6,350) after 79 bids starting from 1 real. Bidding on the Brazilian national treasure will end on Sept 15.
