(ECNS) -- The Chinese embassy in the Philippines has released a security alert for Chinese citizens following a terrorist attack that killed 14 people in the country.
The embassy said it had received no reports of Chinese casualties.
It urged Chinese citizens, Chinese agencies and relevant personnel in the Philippines, as well as incoming visitors, to enhance security awareness and take protective measures.
The embassy also published phone numbers that Chinese citizens should use in case of emergency.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said China expressed its condolences to the victims and is strongly against any form of terrorism.
Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte declared "a state of lawlessness" following the attack at a popular night market on Friday night, which killed 14 and injured at least 71 others.
