(ECNS) -- The tourism commission of Beijing's Yanqing District has ordered Badaling Safari World to improve safety management following an investigation into another animal attack on a visitor in the park.
Chinese media reported that a man surnamed Chen was bitten by a black bear when he opened the window of his car during a tour of the park on August 18. Park rules prohibit visitors from opening their car windows.
The commission said the man opened his window so he could throw food to the bear. The bear was attracted to the car and attempted to force itself in before biting Chen on his left arm.
A park patrol van arrived soon after and drove the bear away. Staff members sanitized the tourist's arm and said he was in stable condition before he left that afternoon.
There have been at least three animal attacks in the park since last summer, when an old woman was killed and her daughter seriously injured by tigers. The women had gotten out of their car while touring the safari park.
The commission ordered the park to improve safety management, including restricting the number of vehicles allowed to enter the park and stepping up education for tourists.
