(ECNS) -- The Chinese embassy in India has urged Chinese nationals living in the country, and those who are planning to travel there, to be mindful of their safety.
The safety advisory posted on the embassy's website said Chinese citizens should pay attention to the local situation, exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and always carry a form of ID with them.
It also reminded Chinese nationals to respect religious practices and customs in India, and abide by local regulations and laws.
India is experiencing an increase in the frequency of natural disasters, traffic accidents and infectious diseases, according to the embassy. They advised Chinese nationals to be cautious regarding diseases and make sure their visa was not expired.
The advisory was issued amid the ongoing stand-off between India and China over the Doklam issue. China hopes India would take practical and positive actions to correct the situation, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.
