(ECNS) -- The main body of Nujiang Arch Bridge of Dali-Ruili Railway in Yunnan Province was completed on Monday, marking a construction milestone.
The bridge is 1024.4 meters long and 25 meters wide, allowing four trains to pass simultaneously.
It is currently the longest-spanning railway arch bridge at 490 meters.
He Changsong, bridge project manager, said it contains 46000 tons of steel, approximately 6.5 times that of the Eiffel Tower.
Dali-Ruili Railway covers 330 kilometers and will reduce travel time between both cities from six hours to two.
