(ECNS) -- The Yiwu International Trade Center will partially resume operation on Feb. 18 following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Known as the world's largest wholesale market for small commodities, it will open its District 1 and District 2 first, under the premise of good prevention and control.
Affected by the epidemic, the center opened much later than previous years.
Peripheral streets around the center would gradually remove limits and allow free access. Market operators can also enter communities to distribute their commodities.
The city will resume taxi and online car booking services from Feb. 15. Part of public bus transportation will also normalize.
As of February 13, 16 cases of the novel coronavirus pneumonia have been confirmed in Yiwu, with seven cured, one in critical condition, and the others stable under quarantine at designated hospitals.
