(ECNS) -- China pledges continuous support for its export enterprises in providing face masks and medical supplies to foreign countries, said Li Xingqian, director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday.
Many countries are short of prevention materials including face masks and protective suits amid the rampant spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
China always bears in mind the sincere help that some countries and international organizations have offered us in tough times, Li said, adding that the nation will further expand cooperation with the world and share its experience in epidemic prevention and control.
China will do its best to help the countries concerned, especially those countries and regions with severe epidemic diseases, Li said.
A total of 44,067 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported by 117 countries and regions outside China as of 10:00 CET Thursday, with total deaths jumping to 1,440, according to the daily report released by the World Health Organization on Friday.
