(ECNS) -- China's independently developed large amphibious aircraft, the AG600-1003, has successfully completed its test run for the first time, according to Avic General Huanan Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd on Thursday.
All four engines of the aircraft worked well.
The AG600, codenamed "Kunlong," will be used for multi tasks including emergency rescue, forest fire fighting and marine monitoring.
The aircraft rolled off the assembly line in December 2021, and has finished joint debugging of power supply system, dynamic environmental control system, hydraulic system, etc.
Before the testing, the engine fuel system, hydraulic system and other related function inspections were checked and the emergency drill for engine unsealing and commissioning completed.
Another two AG600 aircraft will roll off the assembly line in 2022 and the three will finish their maiden flight tests.
