(ECNS) – An off duty firefighter rescued a child whose head got stuck in a sixth-floor security window of an apartment block in Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province on Wednesday afternoon.
At around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the little girl was found accidentally stuck in the railings of a security window, with her entire body swaying in midair.
An Peng, a neighbor who works as a firefighter climbed to the sixth floor, holding onto a railing with one hand and the girl with the other. A dozen minutes later, the mother of the girl came home, helping bring her child to safety.
An said he has been insisting on working out due to work demands.
According to An, the space between the railings were wide and the child might have fallen through, so he decided to rescue her immediately.
"If she fell out the window, the family would have been ruined, so I climbed to the window to hold onto her," said An.
