(ECNS) -- The water inflow at Longtan Reservoir in the upper reaches of the Xijiang River in the Pearl River Basin rose to 10,900 cubic meters per second at 11 a.m. on Monday due to heavy rainfall, according to the Ministry of Water Resources website.
The "Xijiang 2022 No. 1" is the first flood with a serial number this year.
The Ministry of Water Resources said it would closely monitor rain and water levels and maintain a IV-level emergency response.
