(ECNS) -- Thirty major science projects, including 10 frontier issues of science, 10 engineering technical issues, and 10 industrial technical issues, were published by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) on Monday.
These projects play a guiding role in scientific development and will promote engineering innovation and spur industrial development.
Projects such as reliable and interpretable artificial intelligence, in-orbit deployment, assembly and construction of large-scale space-borne antennae, and independent, controllable industrial design software development are also included on the list.
This year's solicitation was launched at the end of January. A total of 649 issues from 10 fields including earth science, ecological environment, manufacturing technology, information technology, and advanced materials were recommended.
CAST has selected and published 160 problems in the past five years.
