(ECNS) -- Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, will extend disinfection work in its main urban areas until 3 a.m. on Thursday, said the local COVID-19 response team.
The city will conduct multiple rounds of nucleic acid testing.
The disinfection work was initially planned to end on Monday.
A total of 99 locally transmitted and 848 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported in Tibet as of Sunday.
