(ECNS) -- China will explore a carbon emission management system for battery products, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced in a draft guideline on energy and electronic industry development released on Thursday.
Accordingly, the country will strive toward promoting the industrialization of new energy storage batteries and boost the large-scale application of advanced energy storage technologies and products.
The guideline supports an emission traceability platform spanning the entire life of battery.
Further studies will be conducted on a long-life and high-security battery system, large-scale and high-capacity energy storage, and mobile energy storage of vehicles.
China will accelerate the research and development of solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and hydrogen energy storage and fuel cells.
The guideline also seeks to promote the use of intelligent manufacturing technologies.
It encourages popularization of hybrid energy storage systems based on electrochemical energy storage.
Moreover, it gives priority to the development of optical, silicon, hydrogen, and renewable energy.
