(ECNS) -- China offered six sets of data products for global sustainable development to the United States at the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of the Global Development Initiative on Wednesday.
The data products cover global arable land and forests.
The products aim to provide data support for countries to better achieve goals in food security and terrestrial ecological protection.
One data product shows that Asia has the largest arable land area, accounting for 36.5 percent of the global. The total arable land area of the United States, China, India, Russia, Canada, Brazil, Australia and Argentina accounted for 50.03 percent.
Another data product says that by the end of 2020, the total forest area of the world reached 3.684 billion hectares, accounting for 28.03 percent of the total land area of the world, and the forest area per capita was about 0.47 hectares.
