(ECNS) -- A 7.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the Solomon Islands at 10:03 a.m. Beijing Time Tuesday at 9.70 degrees south latitude and 159.50 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
A tsunami warning was issued for an area of the Solomons coast within 300 kilometers (185 miles) of the epicenter.
