(ECNS) -- China's ice and snow industry is expected to top 1 trillion yuan (about 146.48 billion U.S. dollars) by 2025, according to the legacy report of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 (after games) released this month.
According to the report, the total scale of China's ice and snow industry increased from 270 billion yuan in 2015 to 600 billion yuan in 2020. A total of 346 million of people have participated in ice and snow sports across China.
By the beginning of 2021, there were 654 standard ice rinks in China and 803 indoor and outdoor ski resorts, an increase of 317 and 41 percent respectively from 2015.
