(ECNS) -- As China's computing industry develops fast in recent years, its computing power scale grows by nearly 30 percent annually, ranking the second in the world, after the United States.
Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) shows that China has seen the total scale of its computing power exceed 180 EFlops by the end of 2022 and its core industry scale of computing power reach 1.8 trillion yuan (about $262 billion).
According to China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, for every yuan invested in building computing power, 3 to 4 yuan of GDP could be generated.
By the end of February, there were 2.384 million 5G base stations and 592 million 5G mobile phone users in China, said the MIIT.
