(ECNS) -- A wildfire broke out on Wednesday in Jiuzhaigou County, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The local public security department confirmed that the wildfire was caused by lightning.
The firefighting emergency headquarters of Jiuzhaigou County responded immediately and dispatched 410 firefighters to put out the fire. No casualties have been reported.
Water resources around the fire site are enough, the headquarters said. As of 21: 30 on Wednesday, the fire was generally controlled.
The fire is 23 kilometers away from the Jiuzhaigou scenic spot, which is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
