(ECNS) -- The global investment promotion conference 2023 of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin will be held on Tuesday, followed by the preparations for Hengqin and Macao to reach more countries and regions for investment promotion activities, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute announced Sunday.
Hengqin, located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, is adjacent to Macao.
The conference is the first large-scale promotion event held in China since the establishment of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone, with over 300 people to join in it.
The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, together with the cooperation zone, will hold more conferences and exhibitions at home and abroad to promote the new development model of Macao and Hengqin, which utilizes international resources to boost the joint development the two regions. This model will allow domestic and overseas enterprises to find more business opportunities there.
A series of overseas investment promotion activities were held in March and April in Southeast Asia and Portuguese-speaking countries.
During the investment promotions for enterprises in Indonesia, Malaysia, Portugal and Singapore, Macao and Hengqin have organized nearly 350 business negotiations, with 17 contracts singed.
