(ECNS) -- Giant panda YaYa arrived at the Beijing Zoo on early Monday by a chartered plane after a month of quarantine in Shanghai.
She is in a good health condition.
When the giant panda was under quarantine, staff members with rich breeding experience were distributed by the Beijing Zoo to take care of her and monitor her health condition.
The Beijing Zoo has arranged a breeding venue for Ya Ya and customized plans for her breeding, medical treatment, and nutrition.
The giant panda will spend her later years in the zoo and won’t meet the public currently. The Beijing Zoo will release its news via its official Weibo account.
Born at the Beijing Zoo, Ya Ya was taken to the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee in 2003 for a joint research project, according to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
On April 26, she left the Memphis Zoo of Tennessee where she lived 20 years and arrived in Shanghai for quarantine.
