(ECNS) -- Beijing has seen 650,000 inbound and outbound trips in May, an increase of 19 percent over last month, and a new high this year, with 128,000 arrivals and departures via the Beijing Daxing International Airport in May.
According to Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, the city has opened 113 express channels since China fully resumed quick customs clearance procedure at ports since May 15, including 29 at the Terminal 2 and 38 at the Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport, and 46 at the Beijing Daxing International Airport.
Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection has systematically upgraded express channels, with advanced technologies being used such as face and fingerprint in vivo detection and automatic facial features grabbing to further ensure safety and make customs clearance more convenient.
Data shows that the average customs clearance time of express channels in Beijing is about 20 seconds. Over the past half month, more than 193,000 people have used express channels to enter and leave the country, at 99,000 and 94,000 respectively.
