(ECNS) – Upon landing in the Diqing Shangri-La Airport in China’s southwestern Yunnan Province on Monday, a rainbow popped up in the sky, sending a warm and bright welcome to five overseas young bloggers from five countries – Russia, Bolivia, Mali, Cape Verde, and Malawi.
“You know what a rainbow means in my country? It means fortune!” Rivera Christian from Bolivia amazed at the rainbow before landing, “You find its origin, then you will have a lot of money!”
Kazak Irina from Russia also said when she saw the rainbow, “when you see a rainbow at a new place, it will be a good sign that you will meet so many good people, and that many good things will happen.”
This is the first time for all of them to be in Yunnan Province. Speaking of Yunnan, the first impression of Baptista Mircia from Cape Verde on it is that “the place is like spring all year round, and mountains and rivers stretch across the region”. The Gen Z blogger hopes she can share the beauty of Yunnan to her family and friends via Internet.
Dra Yasin Amara Sekou from Mali was excited toexperience the local culture and lifestyle in Yunnan. “Amazing!” he shouted when putting on local Tibetan clothes, “it really feels different after wearing the local clothing. I think I’m blending myself in this place!”
Before taking off, Malawian youth Chitosi Innocent expressed his expectation to this trip, “China is my second home, and I’m very happy to have this chance to be in Yunnan. I really look forward to our trip to Potatso National Park, because I think it’s good for everyone to have such close contact with the nature.”
During the visit to the Park, Chitosi was intoxicated in the natural landscape and local buildings. “I see people’s priority to the ecological conservation here from their houses, and in their eyes, only the natural resources can bring the happiest life,” Chitosi said.
The stories will go on with them in Yunnan for a week, and more fantasies are yet to be explored and shared. Gorge, river, snow mountain… the journey blessed with the rainbow is set to be shined with laughter and cheer.
