China Space Station to raise fish for small closed ecosystem research

(ECNS) -- China Space Station will raise zebra fish to study the interaction between fish and microorganisms in a small closed ecosystem, authorities said on Monday at a seminar to collect science and application projects of space station.  

As vertebrates, zebra fish will be also used to research bone loss in astronauts in China’s Tiangong space station, said Zhang Wei, assistant general director of the space application system of China's manned space program.
