(ECNS) -- The 5th typhoon in 2023, or Doksuri, a tropical storm, has formed in the ocean in the east of the Philippines, according to China Meteorological Observatory (CMO) on Friday.
Latest news released by CMO shows that at 2 p.m. Friday, its center is about 1270 kilometers east of Manila, the Philippines, or 13.9 degrees north latitude and 132.7 degrees east longitude.
Doksuri will move to the west-north direction at a speed of 5-10 kilometers per hour, and it will become more intense gradually. It is expected to impact the coastal areas of southeast China, CMO said.
