(ECNS) -- The 10th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in Nishan, Qufu, East China’s Shandong Province, will convene nearly 400 international guests from 63 countries.
Themed "Traditional Culture and Modern Civilization," the forum attracted representatives from international organizations, delegates from sister cities, and renowned scholars across the world.
It aims to engage in dialogue on civilizations, better address global challenges and promote the progressof humanity.
The forum will include six sub-themes such as "Civilizational Exchanges and Mutual Learning under Global Challenges" and will host a Sino-Italian Classical Civilization Dialogue to facilitate profound discussions between these ancient civilizations.
Yang Chaoming, distinguished professor at the Advanced Institute for Confucian Studies at Shandong University, said the forum would build a bridge for dialogue between ancient and modern times, where scholars and cultural envoys from various countries can share their cultural characteristics, enhance mutual understanding, dispel misunderstandings and prejudices, and achieve numerous consensuses.
