(ECNS) -- The world's largest sintering machine, equipped with advanced environmental protection technology, successfully completed its hot load test on Wednesday in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province according to China Baowu Steel Group.
Featuring innovations like micro negative pressure control, a new rotary arm-type annular cooler, activated carbon desulfurization and denitrification, this sintering machine is designed to reduce 119,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year, generating 189 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, and saving 47,800 tons of standard coal per year too.
Following commissioning, this upgraded machine will replace three existing sintering machines, according to project construction manager Le Wenyi.
