(ECNS) -- At 12:03 on Monday, OL-1, the first Omani-registered intelligent satellite, was successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, and entered its planned orbit.

This highlights China’s private aerospace company Star.Vision’s role in expanding space technology globally.

OL-1 is a core part of Star.Vision’s comprehensive satellite solutions for Oman. With high-resolution imaging and smart analysis capabilities, it will support Oman in remote sensing and environmental monitoring.

Star.Vision is China’s first private aerospace company to deliver a complete satellite and ground system for a foreign customer, providing Oman with ground station setup, staff training, and full local support to help Oman build its aerospace capabilities.

A representative of Star.Vision described the project as an effort to build a “Space Silk Road.” By exporting new types of space trade such as “space intelligence” and “space data”, it highlights innovation and openness of China’s new generation of private aerospace companies.

Besides, the OL-1 carries Chinese Zhejiang Lab's space-based distributed operating system and a large-scale remote sensing model, which will be tested in space for the first time, providing important validation for space computing systems.

Star.Vision is discussing future satellite cooperation with Oman. OL-1 will join China's space computing system of constellation, further advancing international space cooperation.
