(ECNS) -- Human injury was ruled out for the deaths of four black swans in the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, said the management office of the park in a statement released on Monday.
According to the statement, the traumatic injuries of the four black swans were all caused by animal bites after a professional test.
Surveillance video captured suspected canines and other animals near the black swan nests on the night when the four black swans were found died. However, as the nests of the swans are in reeds, the video did not record traces of fighting, with only feathers scattered on the scene.
The park said it will strengthen patrols, inspect and monitor black swans and other wild animals, and increase the protection of black swans in the black swan incubation and gathering areas.
