(ECNS) -- Shanghai Municipal Drug Administration decided to launch an investigation into the well-known Chinese cosmetic brand Pechoin for suspected use of banned ingredients.
On Thursday, the administration issued a notice in response to a report received on September 27 that cosmetics produced by Pechoin were suspected of using prohibited raw materials.
The report is proved to be true basically, said the notice.
Founded in 1931 in Shanghai, Pechoin is a famous skincare brand in China. It was awarded the title of “China's Famous Trademark” in 2008.
