(ECNS) -- Airbus Helicopters delivered its first H175to Skyco International Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. in south China's Guangdong Province on Wednesday, marking an important milestone in low-altitude economic development locally, according to the operator, China Southern Airlines General Aviation Co., LTD. (CSAGAC), one of the largest helicopter operators in the country.
The H175 helicopter was transported to China by the Airbus Beluga Super Transporter ("BelugaST") and will play a significant role in Guangdong's emergency rescue missions.
The province is at the forefront of China's low-altitude economy and general aviation development. This delivery has laid a foundation for Airbus Helicopters' business expansion here.
With the addition of the helicopter, the company can provide extended range, more efficient payload capacity, and enhanced safety performance for emergency operations, said Hu Yueqiu, general manager of CSAGAC.
Launched in 2014, the Airbus H175 belongs to the super-medium class of helicopters, combining long-range and payload with smooth flight qualities, making it the optimal solution to enhance Guangdong's capability to respond to rescue and relief missions. Currently, 65 Airbus H175 helicopters have exceeded 250,000 flight hours.
