(ECNS) -- The Most Beautiful Villages Branch of China Tourism Association (MBVC) held a grand award ceremony on Friday in Beijing, recognizing 11 villages as "The Most Beautiful Villages" in China.
The first batch of "Most Beautiful Villages" includes Anren Ancient Town in Sichuan, Dali Ancient City in Yunnan, the town of Huai Opera in Jiangsu, Mu's Manor in Shandong, Wuxi Nianhua Bay in Jiangsu, Qingyan Ancient Town in Guizhou, Shaxi Ancient Town in Yunnan, Taihang Water Town in Hebei, Danzhai Wanda Village in Guizhou, Bailu Town in Sichuan, and Zhangbi Ancient Castle in Shanxi. These villages showcase a diverse range of cultural heritage and innovative tourism developments, highlighting the richness and variety within China's rural landscape.
Since its establishment on December 27, 2019, the Most Beautiful Villages Branch of China Tourism Association has analyzed over 586 villages and towns, established a foundational database, and conducted field visits to more than 200 sites. The organization promotes the standardization of ancient villages and towns, fostering innovation and cultural preservation to inspire more communities to achieve the vision of becoming "Most Beautiful" in more communities.
