(ECNS) -- A green Bell 505 helicopter circled around Shimao Wisdom Tower in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province, before landing on its rooftop helipad as the city’s first air terminal was officially inaugurated at the tower.

Currently, airlines are launching routes connecting areas such as Hangzhou’s Xianghu, Qianjiang New Town, and Future Sci-Tech City. By the end of this month, 10 to 15 more routes are expected to be completed.

Hangzhou residents will soon be able to enjoy “low-altitude air buses” offering convenient one-stop ticketing, security check, and boarding services.

It will take only five minutes to travel from Xianghu to Qianjiang New Town, increasing high demand for “low-altitude air buses”, according to Ding Wei, founder of Hangzhou Gaozhi General Aviation Co., Ltd., which operates the air bus.

Earlybird tickets for the “air bus” are currently priced at 498 yuan ($68.36) per seat.

Airline representative stated that with the rapid development of the low-altitude economy, prices will definitely be reduced, adding that in three to five years, they may drop to about one-fifth of the current price.
