(ECNS) -- A cruise ship loaded with domestically manufactured lithium batteries and other cross-border commodities left the Zhoushan Port in Ningbo, east China’s Zhejiang Province for the port of Wilhelmshaven, Germany on Monday, making it the fastest direct cargo route connecting the Yangtze River Delta and Europe.
Commodities transported via this route will arrive in the port of Wilhelmshaven in 26 days, about 12 days less than by traditional methods. They will be distributed to other European countries such as France, Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland through water and land transportation.
The opening of the route will lay a foundation for the trade between China and European countries.
