(ECNS) -- Chinese exports of electric vehicles exceeded two million for the first time in 2024, the State Council told press on Monday.

In the field of green transportation, its electric locomotive exports have been increasing for five consecutive years and electric motorcycles and bicycles have sold in overseas markets, with the export value exceeding 40 billion yuan ($5.46 billion) for the first time in 2024.
Last year, China saw a growth of 71.9 percent in wind turbine exports, and its photovoltaic product exports have surpassed 200 billion yuan for four years in a row while lithium battery exports reached a record 3.91 billion yuan.
Statistics from GACC showed that China's total import and export of cross-border e-commerce hit 2.63 trillion yuan in 2024, an increase of 10.8 percent. .
Meanwhile, comprehensive bonded zones in China have seen a total import and export volume of $6.7 trillion last year, a 4.7 percent increase. The import and export volume of the pilot free trade zones hit 8.45 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.3 percent.
