(ECNS) -- A cargo flight operated by SF Airlines departed from Ezhou City, central China’s Hubei Province, on its inaugural journey to Oslo, the capital of Norway, marking the first direct cargo connection between the two regions.
The new service, operated by a Boeing 767-300 freighter, will run twice weekly with an annual cargo capacity exceeding 10,000 metric tons. The route enables efficient transport of export of a variety of goods, including Chinese express parcels, e-commerce products, Norwegian seafood, and high-tech equipment.
A representative from Ezhou Huahu International Airport stated that the launch of this route will establish an efficient and reliable air logistics channel for China-Norway trade, building growth in bilateral trade between China and Norway.
With the Spring Festival nearing, fresh Norwegian salmon and other delicacies like Thai durians are expected to arrive on Chinese tables faster, adding to the festive season’s appeal.
This development further solidifies Ezhou Huahu International Airport’s status as a growing global hub. Currently, it operates 36 international routes to 27 countries and regions across five continents, serving destinations in Europe, the U.S., Asia, Africa, and the Belt and Road countries.
