Day 3: Changzhi — Grand Canyons of Taihang mountains
No words can adequately describe being surrounded by peaks formed billions of years ago. The cliffs and the waterfalls of Mount Taihang were memorable sights. But the 346-meter-tall Peach Blossom Waterfall in the Peach Blossom Valley was the highlight my waterfall experience.
With so much to see and only a limited time to see it all, I would certainly enjoy returning to visit the small villages deep within the canyon, as well as the world-class international hang-gliding base on Linlu Mountain in the Mount Taihang range.
It was nice to conclude the long day with a river rafting trip through whitewater rapids, where frigid waters soaked my clothes and refreshed my spirits.
