Providing students a place to learn for themselves and build positive personalities are always the aims of libraries. "In China, though information is everywhere, we can still see that many students are lost in their lives," said Li.

There was a time when Li was very passive about life when he was young, when he left home for over a week and even thought of dropping out of school. "If I had been exposed to such a large amount of books, that time might have passed sooner," recalled Li.

"Life is colorful, but if you choose to live it in a boring way, you can only complain about it," said Li. In order to enrich the lives of students, Li has also recruited volunteers from all over the country to help run libraries and open classes for students.

In 2008, Li began to teach basic economic knowledge, which attracted many students. Volunteers also help to make the library thrive, and movie appreciation, manual training and music classes help broaden students' horizons.

The team also organizes summer and winter camps, inviting students from famous Chinese universities like Peking University to exchange ideas with local students. Volunteers come from all over the country after hearing about Li, resigned to support him.

The previous libraries were mainly opened in schools, but this year Li rented a four-story building for a new library which is open to everyone in the town. Although currently people rarely go there, Li is confident that in the future more will come.
