"Throughout my childhood, I dreamed about escaping to China, up until 1999 when I went there for the first time. I would return many times thereafter, for personal and artistic projects because China, and especially Shanghai, became more than just an exotic destination - it became one of my main sources of inspiration," said Malland.
"This exhibition represents my dream of China, intimately linked to childhood and a universal need to escape in a world that is increasingly incomprehensible."

He started painting on walls in the mid-1990s and has since 2003 been touring the world to interact with street artists from different cultures.
