The bridge, which cost more than 10 billion yuan ($1.44 billion), starts from Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong, and ends at Dongguan. The Humen second Bridge officially opens to traffic on Tuesday.
It has a total length of 12.89 kilometers and adopts a two-way eight-lane highway standard. The design speed is 100 kilometers per hour and the designed service life is 100 years.
